nunu, a pianist from Germany, releases her first mini album from schole records.
Her debut piece includes 7 piano solos, blends in with the elegance from her roots of classical music and with the improvisational performance..
The classical melody composed of minimal sound, and the perfect touch of the keys with the gentle flow, are making an appearance..
The album starts with “walc oo”, as the melancholic piano is whispering you a tale. Then it leads to the impressive minimal phrase, the refrain of sound from musical box-like electronic piano, “kimidoll”. “chocolat”, has the essence of Slow Jazz taste which makes you feel relief your entire body and soul. Then slowly ends the album with the piece by “serce polska” and “alb”. With the academic background of studying piano at university of music, she relies on improvisational performance using epiphany and fluctuation, reflecting the sound of her “spirit”, rather than the emphasis on technical and elaborateness in her compositions. In nunu’s music, she gently leaves only the essential notes on the minimally-coloured keyboards, as the more simple it is, the more touching deeply. The more one listens, the one will sense the rich and varied sound created in the midst of silence. .
“A sound dropping out from the fingertips ”, this phrase very suits her well-honed sense of _expression in her works. This mini-album is her anthology of short stories of melancholy beautifull fingertips, created with tranquility. And her subtle talent of music and the essence of elegant and mystical “feminine” are hidden in her works.
